RollerDrive CNC (RCD / RCC / RS / RT / RTA1000 Series)

•RCD Series
The RollerDrive CNC is a rotary table designed to meet the requirements of machine tool manufacturers for greater speed and accuracy. The RollerDrive --Sankyo's zero backlash reducer-- delivers accurate output motion that stands up to external disturbances, unlike gearmotors or torque motors. It offers excellent rotary positioning accuracy of 10 seconds or less, and can hold up to heavy cutting forces on hard steel.
The heavy-duty RollerDrive CNC has no internal part wear and no loss of accuracy over long-term use, thus eliminating the need for regular calibration or adjustments.

In terms of performance, Sankyo's roller gear does for rotary motions what the ball screw does for linear motions. The roller gear cam mechanism consists of a roller gear and globoidal cam. Similar to the preloading structure of a ball screw, the roller gear has no backlash, and transfers power by rolling contact for strong rigidity and excellent efficiency. And no clamping is necessary.

High-speed indexable tool post (EX Series)

Cutting without using a coupling? The EX Series?Sankyo's cam-actuated indexing device?solves this problem. This unit uses a roller gear cam mechanism made from a robust globoidal cam and specially designed rigid cam followers (patented). It is rigid enough to hold steady against heavy cutting action. The EX Series does not require any vertical motion or clamping for a faster process that consumes less energy.
