[Characteristics and Effects] Corrosion resistance and contamination prevention in a vacuum environment

The manufacturer is having trouble with products corroding due to halogen gases generated in a vacuum environment. Also, they cannot ignore the possibility that foreign matter adhering to the product may cause galling in the sliding parts, so they are looking for a surface treatment that makes it difficult for foreign matter to adhere, or prevents galling even if foreign matter does adhere.

Processing manufacturer

[Characteristics and Effects] Improved component durability and reduced maintenance frequency

The processing manufacturer have a part with a short life span due to wear at the rubbing points with metal wires, but the end user requested a special specification product that required approximately twice the durability.
Normally, the part is installed on a manual line, but this special specification product will be installed on an automatic line, so they would like to extend its life span and reduce the frequency of maintenance. It is made of aluminum, but since the base material cannot be changed, they are considering solving the problem with surface treatment. However, since it is aluminum and they would like to treat the inside of the Φ3 x 15 mm through hole, it was difficult to find a suitable surface treatment.
